Teen mentoring program for Amaya who wants to learn how to possess her power

Posted May 15, 2018
Amaya is a young woman who has struggled with being sexually abused for many years. Throughout her years living in foster homes, she skipped many days of school looking for superficial life. With the help of her foster parent, she did graduate high school and wants to attend community college in the summer. This mentoring program will help her to look within herself and discover hidden dreams and competencies she never knew existed.

Amaya is 10 years old and lives in Dallas, TX

Amaya is such a sweet and thoughtful girl. She has been in foster care for 4 years. Since Amaya was placed in care, she has kept a positive attitude. She hopes to be adopted one day. Amaya is doing great in school. She loves to play sports, read, watch movies, play board games and comb her dolls hair. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.

Kenyon grants the wish for Amaya! Thanks Kenyon.

Amaya - I know you have had a tough life so far and you cannot change your past. But you can affect how the rest of your life is going to go. I wish you so much love and support as you take this step to give yourself the tools you need to take care of yourself, realize your worth, and create a great life - which you deserve. I have no doubt you are a strong and wonderful person. College will open up so many doors for you. Work hard. Focus on what matters and you can do anything! xo Kenyon
